For over 40 years; Cosworth's been leader in innovative multi valve cylinder head design both racing high performance production cars. Cosworth Ported Valve Cylinder head range is latest advancement. Modified from OE cylinder head castings; substantial flow improvements upgraded valve train components offer superior performance your high performance engine.
Each original cylinder head design is carefully evaluated tested to establish improvements required to meet target performance level. Hours of testing flow bench validation used to determine best advanced port design yielding maximum usable power response. However; there is more to cylinder head design than just maximum flow. It is critical that port velocits maintained to ensure drivability valve train components matched to guarantee reliable performance. Once of these factors have been tested validated; final port contour is digitized. Using digitized program; we then reshape both intake exhaust ports using axis mill producing an accurate consistent port shape every time. In addition to reshaping enlarging intake exhaust ports; most Valve Cylinder heads feature a re-shaped combustion chamber to un-shroud valves increasing flow performance. After machining; each cylinder head receives a multiangle high performance valve on precision valve seat cutter. Then each cylinder head is ultrasonically; cleaned; serialized then hand assembled with select high performance valve train components; ready to install on your engine.

Stage 2 - Street Series 2100 Clutch Kit

This assembly provides up to 80% increase in torque capacity and is properly suited for aggressive street use and moderate track use. The Brass Plus material with its alloy backing matched to a performance pressure plate will provide smooth engagement and extended life. 500 mile break-in highly recommended with this set-up. 300 mile break-in REQUIRED with this set-up. (Some kits may not be supplied with all pieces. Please verify with Competition Clutch before ordering).

The 2100 Series kit includes a performance pressure plate; a high torque sprung disc with antiburst steel backed Brass Plus facings; all applicable bearings; and the appropriate alignment tool.

By slightly increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate and adding to the square inches of usable disc area, CM Twin Discs significantly increase clamping values with only a 25-50% increase in pedal pressure depending on the application. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum with 25% more tensile strength than the competition’s cast unit. The flywheel is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to meet SFI spec 1.2 for competition in NHRA, NDRA, IDRC, IHRA, SCCA and NASA. Each aluminum flywheel includes a replaceable heat shield. Every adjustment has an increased damping force range with finer adjustments engineered to enable the chassis tuner to make significant predictable changes every time. Compression adjustments are separated into the high speed and low speed piston velocity ranges affecting the bleed and blow off points of the damping curve. All oil flow paths in the JRZ 12 31 have been redesigned to maximize efficiency and give crisp feel to the driver. Rebound valving has been completely redesigned to eliminate influence over compression forces and smooth pressure development. At the heart of the new JRZ 12 31 package is our latest motorsport piston. designed to give increased control over base characteristics. reduce hysteresis. and operate smoother.
