Built for performance and show. the Typhoon® Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit many sport compact performance vehicles.  Each kit is proven on a rear-wheel dynamometer to increase horsepower and torque. Typhoon intakes come in one of three designs; cold air intakes (CA). short ram intakes (SR). or complete cold air (CCA) intakes which can be configured as either a cold air intake or a short ram intake.  They come with an oversized High-Flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. 57i Series Intake Kits are specifically designed for each different vehicle and will free your car from the size restriction that comes with the factory air box. These economical kits can take a variety of different forms based on vehicle characteristics and available space under the hood. Each kit is designed to provide power throughout the RPM range. Gen I’s take advantage of the added airflow provided by an oversized air filter released from the restrictive factory air box..

TECH TALK
These kits bring engine airflow out of the factory box by providing a large size open-air conical or round High-Flow Air Filter. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100.000 miles). The filter is then either directly attached to the engine carburetor or throttle body or indirectly through a tube assembly running from the filter to the engine. All adaptors are made from high quality materials such as steel. aluminum. silicon or reinforced nylon and ensure long life.

The Cosworth Subaru EJ25 CS600 series is designed extreme track use the demanding performance enthusiast. Each assembly is precision built by of Cosworths skilled craftsmen using finest components from parts catalog to ensure maximum reliable power performance. Starting with a Subaru EJ257 semi closed deck block; we meticulously hone each bore to guarantee perfect piston to cylinder wall clearance. block is then assembled with Forged Pistons; motorsport grade Forged H Beam connecting rods along with high performance and main bearings a STI Forged crankshaft. maximum performance; an optional steel billet crank is available (CS600X). Once cylinder block assembly is completed; we install a pair of CNC machine port-bored Valve Cylinder heads with proven S2 camshafts complete with valve lash to specifications. cylinder heads secured with high performance 11mm steel studs sealed with a Cosworth high performance stopper layer steel head gasket. Finally; we install of blue-printed; high pressure pumps maximum lubrication. This proven engine combination been used by teams to events in both North Americaand Europe.

Every Brian Crower camshaft profile has been prototyped and dyno tested for proven horsepower results prior to placed into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume; Brian Crower; Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price.
Brian Crower uses small diameter grinding wheels during the finishing phase when applicable to generate a more aggressive ramp rate for a faster cylinder fill rate. More air + more fuel = more power. Although it takes longer to grind the cams; research and development has proven that the inverted radius created by the small grinding wheel on the opening side delivers more horsepower on radius and roller rocker applications than the conventional; large diameter grinding wheels.
All Brian Crower cams are checked on a high speed; sub-micron accuracy measuring gauge. The Adcole Camshaft Measuring System uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe; with .01 micron resolution; taking one datum point each 1/10th of a degree or 3;600 data points per revolution. Modified from OE cylinder head castings; substantial flow improvements upgraded valve train components offer superior performance your high performance engine.
Each original cylinder head design is carefully evaluated tested to establish improvements required to meet target performance level. Hours of testing flow bench validation used to determine best advanced port design yielding maximum usable power response. However; there is more to cylinder head design than just maximum flow. It is critical that port velocits maintained to ensure drivability valve train components matched to guarantee reliable performance. Once of these factors have been tested validated; final port contour is digitized. Using digitized program; we then reshape both intake exhaust ports using axis mill producing an accurate consistent port shape every time. In addition to reshaping enlarging intake exhaust ports; most Valve Cylinder heads feature a re-shaped combustion chamber to un-shroud valves increasing flow performance. After machining; each cylinder head receives a multiangle high performance valve on precision valve seat cutter. Then each cylinder head is ultrasonically; cleaned; serialized then hand assembled with select high performance valve train components; ready to install on your engine.
